Default new to drifting

i want to get into drifting and am looking at the HPI sprint 2. i wanted it for drifting and kicking the nieghbors a**. it seems to look good to me but you may know something i dont. i also want to put a S15 Kei Office Yokomo body on it. ive read that that body is 220mm wide or something and i dont think a 190mm car will fit right on it. i also saw a drift car with "slidemaster" wheels on it and they were like an 8.5 mm offset. they looked awesome. i was goin to get drift tires with the dual rings. i was wondering if anyone could give me the links for where to buy the body for cheaper, where to get slidemaster rims. also would an 8.5 mm offset be enough. does anyone know of some drift rims that look really good with a deep dish or a big offset? i just found another post with some sweet rims but no links where to buy them. i dont think. thanks, Cougar

the body i want is the green S15: http://yokomousa.com/

PS when you get to the link click bodies then scroll to green S15

Have you seen the new Kei Office car?

Anyways, the body isn't quite that wide. You'll be fine running your Sprint2 with some regular wheels. I think you can also get away with +2mm offset wheels.

As for finding the body, try www.speedtechrc.com. They've got decent prices, great customer service, and awesome shipping times.

The Slidemaster wheels are going to be hard to get a hold of. There's a member of ausdrift.com that sells them. Or you can try ordering direct from Japan at www.rainbowten.co.jp.

alright. but i couldnt find the Kei Office car. well do you know the color of paint to get when geting that body. i also like the red silvia. hyper rs2. as for the slidmasters i guess i wont need them if i only need a 3mm offset. what would be a good small in front and deep dish in back set up.

You can use the Yokomo active LED kit or the upcoming Tamiya LED kit.

The 5 spoke wheels are Tamiya 2 piece wheels. You can get them easily on Tower Hobbies. The meshes are Kawadas. Good luck finding them. LOL>

The Kawada's come in 26mm or 33mm..you need to buy the Kawada tyres to fit the 33mm unless you use ABS cut to size!

Seemed to me that they're more like 24mm and 32mm but who's counting? LOL.

i guess the kawada tires are just as hard to find as the rims. that would look sweet with the actual wider wheel instead of just offset in the rear. is it that no one carries them except foreign companies.

That would be more like it..the Kawada wheels are easy to get..just depends on where you live

About a year ago they were very popular and I couldn't get enough....!! Now I rarely get asked for them!

LOL. Yea. That's cuz of the Slidemasters and other people doing the DIY deepdish mod. I can still get the wheels from my friend in San Diego, but I never really get in touch with him anymore. We're both too much into out 1:1 cars (Him: JDM EK9, Me: JDM DC2). Haha. I still love my Kawadas and I want to get the narrow and wide VX's. You got any genki?

whats the DIY deep dish mod. sounds interesting. cus i was wondering how these guys are getting the 8.5mm offset on silia bodies. i thought it was cus that that body is wide. i think it was the yokomo top secret body. looked sweet though with SM rims.

Sweet! I'll be placing an order with you very soon! Gonna get those two "secret" bodies and some Kawadas. Do they have any 24mm wheels without an offset? So I can run them on my chassis with a 190mm body?
