Well Im just getting into drifting. I have an old Tamiya TA 02. Its a beast even when its stock. Ive recently regreased everything and cleaned it up but now Im looking for a good motor, anyone know what a good motor is for drifting?\

Im going to keep to the cheap pvc tyres atm. Though is there anything else that could improve the drifting other then tyres and motor? Sorry, more of a nitro MT guy [&:]

Actually, the motor you have really should be fine. If you're keeping on the PVC, that means you (like most of us) are just in it for fun. People run 19t up to like 27t motors cuz of their low end torque. But, my first motor was like 35t and the only reason I have something different is because I bought another chasis.

If you really are using PVC you'll find more traction from ABS and more still from PE

You can get the tamiya sport tuned motor. Cheap and they drift great. Does anyone know how many turn they are?

The Tamiya Sports Tuned( Black Motor) is rated at a 23 Turn with the Torque of a 20 Turn.. A Good Motor for Drift as it can be used on the TEU-101BK ESC without the Need of Upgrading it.. It is also Good to use on the HBX range of Cars aswell for the same reason, good performance with no need to upgrade the ESC and its Cheap !
