Default Stage D Kit

Ive been lookig at the Stage D conversion from HPI and i was wondering.....
Would I have to get the RS4 and then buy the conversion? Or instead of buying the RS4 could I use that chassis as a starting point?
I have a stadium truck that I dont really use so I wanted to see if I could use the engine outa that
for the basis of the drivetrain, and also the electronics. This is just a question I have and would like to have answered.
Does this seem to be a good idea? Or is it just a waste of time?? What do u think?

waste of time and money buying the stage D kit and then buying the rest of the parts seperately. if you want to use the stadium truck engine you could buy a rolling chassis on ebay and then use your engine and the conversion kit....hope that helped

the only thing buyiong the parts seperately would give you is learning how the car goes together, other than that your probly going to be paying about 200$ extra buying the parts seperate...sorry to burst your bubble

No it would be my second. My first was an RTR so i dint really put in any wrench time....well jus when i broke a turnbuckle
but my idea was to take the engine and electronix from the truck I have now and put them on the other chassis.
But im thinkin twice about it now
