differentail settings

Default differentail settings

should the front be loose or tight, should the rear be loose or tight? help!

I believe they should be snug not tight or loose. Why? Because you dont want them to grind up by bein tight or fall off from bein loose. Wait for other folk. they might have different answers

when i tighten my diffs i make my hands loose, and turn untill it doesnt go any more. like not turning really hard just soft.

loose? while holding the spur gear down and turning the tires its very hard to turn, or doesnt turn at all is this how its suppose to be?

Try Loosening about 1 1/2 turns and tell me wats up.

chances are if you have ball diffs they are fine as they are. you probably wont need to mess with em. but if anything you wouldnt want them too tight but not too loose so somewhere in the middle. if you tighten them too much you could break the diff bolt. and if they are too lose then you lose power to them because its like a big huge slip.
