The LRP Sphere Competition is the best brushless ESC on the market. And it runs brushed as well

I recently ordered an LRP brushless ESC and a Neo One motor, 3 star, to drift with. I should be getting it soon, so I'll tell you guys how it goes. But I was wondering, what do you guys think would be a good jump-off point for a pinion? (How many teeth do you think is a good starting place?)

I have the Novak 4.5R on a TC4.. enormouse power.... Im trying my best to control the throttle, but my prob so far is traction, and a twitchy throtttle finger. you barely press the trigger and it goes.... im not down on brushless drifting i just need to practice... im probably gonna get a nitro or brushed motor too to drift.. but any tips for brushless?
