Default short reciever antenna wire

hello my antenna on my jr reviever is short and i was wondering if just stripping the wire and twisting more wire to it will not decrease the singal strength. or does it even matter if the wire is to short.

if i just left it the way it is, the antenna will be about 5 inches high, cuz i just yanked out my jr receiver out of my old drifter and it was long enough on that one but on this tt-01 its only 5 inches long.

NEVER EVER modify your antenna aerial. Keep it at the length it was at from the factory.
