traxxas 4tec rear diff(ball diff)...LOCKED
here are some crappy pics of the locked diff of my 4tec, if someone wants better pics pm and i'll send them later cuz mi dad is on a trip a took the other cam...
basically its a little tube through the holes of the diff and soldered in both sides, that holds it locked

Wow.. So thats whats needed to lock a Ball Diff..

You don't need to go as far as soldering. All I did was just remove the diff balls and tighten the diff back up. Voila, locked diff!

BTW, in the same place you put those pins I was thinking about filling that whole cavity up with JB weld. That would accomplish the same thing and be easier to do. But is looked diffs really necessary for drifting? I mean do they really help that much?

Do you know how to take it apart? I've looked at it a few times and can't figure out how to get it apart or anything.
