any radio will do. i use a cheap futaba stick transmitter and it works well enough. in fact, id rather have this controller than any other ones probably. it simple, light and i like stick types. for an esc, just try finding one that'll handle whatever turn youre gonna go as low as. probably lowest you'll go for drifting is 19t, so find something that that can take 19t. i just use a simple autosport intellispeed esc. has no reverse but you don't really need it anyways, but it might be a function that you might want, your choice. as for batteries, try finding some cheap 3000mah nimh battery packs, well atleast 3000mah. 3000mah packs are pretty cheap these days. you'll want 7.2v batterypacks, which have 6 cells in them. i bought 4 3200mah batterypacks off of ebay for something like 40 bucks. they dont really need to be brand name or anything either.

I'd just find a cheap AM radio. Dont really matter what kinda. Just something to get you started. I've seen some [Radio and reciever] for around $10 on RCzone, and places like that. Try ebay?

http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/produc...ducts_id=16819 I'd use this ESC. It's cheap, And handle's decent turn's.

For battery's, hit up Radio shack.. 3300mah pack's are $25.
