Default PVC Traction

Well I just gotten my drift tires set, and took the car for a spin. The traction isn't that great at all (I was driving on semi-wet streets, probably why). Do I have to let the tires get natrually scuffed by the asphalt for best performance (break-in =P)? Are there any other methods I can use to scuff up the tires for more traction?

Thanks

Yeah, you gotta break them in.
Try electricians tape (black tape) and tape the tires to get more tractions if you wish.
