im tring to convert my nitro rs4 3 in to and electric so i can drift i already gutted the car i just need some help on how to set up a drivetrain and ill have to fabricate a motor mount

well, you do know that to drift a nitro all you need are drift tires, right? but if you really wanna turn it into a electric, then you should convert it to single speed, youll have plenty of room on the right side of the cahssis for a motor, and ESC, but i dont see where your gonna mount a battery. your gonna want to use somthing around 17T, ebcuase of the extra weight from the aluminum chassis

i know i can drift a nitro easy but im just fed up with the mess and problems with nitro. Iwas gonna put the battery on the right hand side and the motor on the left.The battery wont fit on the left because of the steering servo i would mount the esc ont ther rear shock tower and ther rx in the front. But could you explain on how to set up the the drive system what parts i would need to buy if any

Can I suggest Re assembling it, Selling it and Starting with an Electric Chassis, the Conversion your proposing may be too heavy or too unbalanced for Drift..

Go a TT-01 kit and then you will be off to a good start..

Your intensions are good but I am not sure if it would be worth your effort..

Reassemble the Car as a Nitro, then Sell it

magnat probably has the best idea. It will be cheaper in the end and then you have a car made for what you want.
