And yeah i have a passion for drifting its like a illness lol most of the posters on here are awesome peeps who help out others any way they can with info etc good job people [8D]
On the piont of neg comments i also agree you should write what u think no problems with that, but remember that poster just stuck up a pic of his pride and joy and prob put a lot of hours into so a little more thought wouldnt hurt.
ie instead of needin to say how crap something looks maybe offer some ideals of change??maybe u will think of something that person didnt..
What looks good to you may not look good to others that life but were ALL here as drifters and hopefully to help out if we can.
I visit alot of drift forums and seen quite a few showoff threads but this is the best i know off,you guys should be proud of your works here[sm=thumbup.gif]
It's also a public forum where you express your opinions. I am not saying my statements are at all true, they are my opinions. And if you can't take criticism, maybe you should not post pictures of your body that you know others will bash. You post to get reviews. Simple as that. You CANNOT convince me if I think a body is total crap that it is the best body in the world.

im still with tiger on this matter. if you got nothing nice to say, dont say anything at all, we all have our own IMO's. but if you got nothing good to say, its better if you just keep it to yourself.

I disagree. Wouldn't you want somebody to say something that is "bad" or needs improvement to well, improve yourself. If you are getting only good comments, how are you suppose to improve? You can't. In order to improve, you must receive negativity.

Hey, posting a neon green NSX on a nitro car in this thread was BOUND to get me some criticism, I expected it. I looked at some of the bodies in your profile, GraTou, and I see that we have very different ideas on cool and that's fine. You're right, it's your opinion and I have no problems hearing it. I don't like to see things being censored but there are a lot of impressionable youth reading these things, and it also clutters up the information. So if anyone ever wants to really let me know how they feel, PM me and we'll talk!

How ya like this one Gra?

I was bored tonight.

This is an old shell but I had a trippy idea.

Don't tell my daughter but I borrowed one of her dolls for my drift experiment. I will have to keep it hidden because it's missing an arm now.

I have two shells that I want to make all pretty but for now, all of my shells are beaters. There's a guy on this forum called peetiewonder and he likes putting people into the wall. He has beautiful shells but he drives like he stole it.

The problem is this....doing these bodies and hooking up these drifters is Artistic expression. When it comes to someones artistic expression, nothing is right or wrong. Then it's up to the viewer if they like it or not. But no matter how the viewer feels, that still doesn't make the artist any less good. For example you noobs. If you go to an art museum you may see a Leonardo Da Vinci painting that you simply love. Then you walk 40 feet and see a Picasso. You may hate the Picasso. Now does that give you the right to rip the Picasso apart and say based on Leonardo Da Vinci the Picasso painting is no good? That would be absurd and you would simply get laughed out of the museum and taken to an insane asylum. Art is all about how to artist feels about his own representation of something. No one has the right to judge the worthiness of anyones artistic representation. Thats the bottom line. So if you don't like someones artistic representation of a true to life drift car, so be it. But to rip someone because you think you can do better, or just because you think they need to make a change is absurd. You guys really need to grow up a little and enjoy it all. Or better yet get a life, you must not have one if you think it's your job to be the drift body realism police on the net and have to point out everything you think is not up to your standard.

Hyper: Before I paint my bodies I set them on the car and mark where the posts are once I get the shell all squared up. If the body is already painted it's a lot tougher but you can use a bright light underneath the shell to kind of see the shadows from the posts (this way basically sucks IMO but if the body is painted, do what you have to do). Also, remember to make your holes before you peel off the overspray film or you'll lose the marks (done that once lol). If the holes are already screwed up, you can cover them with a sticker, fill the hole from the backside with shoe goo or something, and redrill your holes.

For me the absolute worst hole to cut is for my exhaust stinger but this is the drift thread so you probably don't have to worry about that. Hope this helps.

all my holes are a little off, but im getin better at it. i actually drill my holes before painting the bodies. i have my body posts cut really short with extenders. so i take the extenders off and put the body on the ground to make sure the body sits level. and if i raise one end,i also raise the other side so that the body always stays level. if your body is not level when u mark the holes, the body will move forward or backward when u mount it. ie. if u mark and drill the holes with the rear end tilted up and the tires in the center, when u mount the body and make it level, the tires will end up in the rear of the tire wells because the way the body moves. and vise versa if u drill the front tilted up. hope that helps bro. also measure a buncha times then drill once lol.
