Here's the thing. I also have an Evo and I read alot about that Stage-D conversion kit and I've read several times that it's really not neccessary. It's mostly just so you can say you have a "Stage-D Evo"... So what I would do is just get some drifting tires like these

and pick your rims to glue them too and just go from that.
Yes it will be a bit better with the Stage D Conversion Kit because the car will be better balanced but not worth the 150-180 your going to pay for. It's not that big of a difference.
This is what I'm currently doing but I can't decide which rims to get....
