Default Urgent Problem!!!

Ok, well got my Ta05 all wired up, and i just ran it. The car makes a very loud screeching noise, and it spins out very easily. I checked and once i move the motor away the drivetrain it is very very smooth, and i know my gear mesh is set correctly. Whats wrong??!!!

Is the sound coming from the ESC by any chance?

I'm only asking because the ESC can make a loud sort of beep or squeel too and thats quite normal. freaked me out the first time I heard it mind you

Drive train ... hmm ... the TA05's are belt driven so how is the belt tension and does it move freely?

Screeching noise sounds very much like a gear mesh problem, you aint an RC novice so I'm sure you know what you are doing but have you got the right pitch pinion?

I would be Checking Diffs..
You say it spins Out easily then may be one of the Diffs has seized..

Go through every thing and Manually Turn the wheels and listen for the sounds

Im using a 48Pitch pinion gear. The 23T one from [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXEX35]This set[/link]. Im thinking its the diffs, but when i take the motor away form the spur so the drivtrain can spin freely. the car makes absolutely no noises, and rolls perfectly.

Man i switched to the pinion that came with the car, that fixed the whole schreeching problem. Thanks C9vev . Its still a little squirrely, but its a suspension rpoblem. Ill fix it tommorrow when its light out. Any suggestions on how to fix that? Im not drifting yet, but i wanna fix this problem and get the car running welel before i start drifting.

Ok, guys I'm not drifting yet, but i need some help with this problem. By squirrely. I mean the rear of the car is way way to loose, and unless i roll on the throttle incredibly slowly out of the turns it spins out. Right now im using the oil that came with the car, the 2 holes pistons all around, and the stock springs. In the manual they say use the 1 hole pistons. do you think that might be my problem?

Ok guys figured it out. It was happening becuase of 2 reasons. #1 The springs that come with the car were too short, and i didnt have any pre-load clips, so there was about 3mm of play between the springs and the top and bottom retainers. the second thing was my front left drive shaft was not completely going into the outer drive cup so i added a spacer to the inner one. now it handles great .

Uhh no they dont, mine did not come with an ESC. it came with a motor though. i never ran it. Im using a trinity c027 Stock Pro motor, and let me tell you its alot faster then i thought it was. I actually raced it against my 1/10th buggy that has a kind junk 12T in it, and the c027 Kicked its ass of the line, and was even faster on the top end. Its definelty a awesome motor, and doesnt cost much either. Im using a Novak Xrs ESC. Its preatty inexpensive. Will handle down to 15T, and from my expierence thus far, its worked great. As far as the belts, ou of the box there actually a little too tight, but thats somthing that all belt cars have, and the great improvement of the ta05 over all the other version fo the old ta05 is that its soo easy to tighten, and loosen the belts later on when they get a little worn in. It really is a quality car, out of the box its great, and im surte after all those hop-ups i ordered up it should be a sick drifter.
