Hi guys,
Okay,
I have a Tamiya TT-01 with alloy propeller shaft, RS540 tuned motor, stock suspension and rims, ABS drift tires, upper-arm kit and a semi-locking rear diff.
(2004 WRX STi with ESC)
1# My ABS Drift tires keep moving on my wheels after every drifting session; eg. they move off my rims a little bit everytime I drift.
- Is there a way to stop or prevent this from happening?
and
2# When starting from a stand still to full throttle (in a straight line), my car end up veering to the left (looking from behind)?
- Is this caused by my car being overpowered on one side, due to suspension/ tuning. etc.? or another problem?
-> Sometimes when I do counter-clockwise drifts, my car seems more prone to spinning out or loss of control, than if I drifted in a clock-wise circular motion?
Can anyone help?

you could also wrap some electrical tape around your rim before mounting the abs. makes it harder to get on, but of course it will also be harder to get off.

you're not supposed to just go wot when you rc anyways, but if it only happens when you go wot right away, then its torque steer. if you ease into wot and it still goes off to the side, then its probably your steering trim. you can change your steering trim with the transmitter, or else if its already adjusted max to one side, then adjust the... i dunno, tierod? between the steering assembly and the servo, though i actually can't remember if you can adjust it on the tt01, and i'm too lazy to take off the shell off of mine.

Thanks for the replies guys. Could be the steering trim, my car usually goes in a straight line though and the electrical tape worked wonders.
Thanks guys.

The Steering issue is Because Your Tyres loose Grip at Different Rates
When You have a Rubber Tyre they get the same Traction equally distributed. Not the Case With Poly tyres so they always seem to pull one Side..
Even my HPI Sprint 2 does it.. so Dont just think it is a TT-01 problem as it happens to most CHassis..
Tape Your Rims with electrical Tape till the tape is above the edge of the Outer rim by 1 mm..
Really does work wonders and it stops the Saggy tyre problem that comes with using thin ABS.

Are your tires cus evenly?
I had the same problem. I had crooked cuts and some tires were wider than others.
Also, when your tires are loose in the wheels, it causes some to spin at different times.

The tire slip is really down to the fact that the TT01 is not a very balanced chassis.
It happens every time with my TT01, I am yet to rectify it. But at a session, the other guys could put all the power down into the first corner from standstill, and remain in complete control. I always lost control. It's just the chassis.
I had the same problem with my ABS tires sliding off the rims, and the problem caused me to break a front arm during one session, and lose a driveshaft. Glue really is the only answer, but is harder than glueing rubber tires, because the tire can't flex over the rim. If anyone knows how to glue them without having glue slip out of the sides, I would like to know how
Chris.

mine slides aswell, just use a small bit of CA glue, or use a bigger strip or grip/foam tape on the inside of the wheel/tyres combo
