Maybe you mean Mtroniks? I think Magnat uses one, and he says its good for drifting.

I've heard of a couple of old-school drifters that use the Keyence. So it's probaly good.

My recommendation is the Novak XRS Sport ESC. It's around $50 USD, and works for motors down to 15 Turns. Great for drifting and I have 2 of them on my TC4's.

for some reason, the guy at the LHS says that Novak ESC are "old stuff" so they dont carry them anymore.

but i am hearing alot of ppl here on the forum suggesting them to use for drifting....

Maybe your guy had a business type problem with them and is steering people away from them in spite. wouldn't be the first time thats happened.

i have a Mtroniks rv15. i really like it cause its waterproof and it has good response when drifting. the novak xrs was really my first choice, but it rains a lot down here, so Mtroniks was a safe esc for me.
