Hi,

Can i glue my drift (rubber or ABS) tires on my wheels using superglue (The one in the supermarket)? Or is that a wrong path for gluing tires..

thanks,

i use the R-03 drift radials that yokomo make for drifting as these are perfect on my nitro drift cars, but i have never glued them onto my rims due to the fact they are hard compound rubber and its a pain to remove worn tyres. you wouldn't notice a tyre slipping on a rim when drifting anyway.

i dunnoe, but dont you guys just put a pvc pipe over the whole tyre anyway? for me that is one of the nice things about drifting, no hassle with the tyres if you find a piece of pipe that can fit snugly

i never glued my abs/PE tires to the rims. I always wrapped the end of the rim with electrical tape a few times then sqeeze the tire on to make it nice and snugg.

I Oven Bake mine lol

Wrap the Naked rim with Electrical tape 1 mm above the rims outer wall, Heat the PVC/Polypipe/ABS Tyres up and as they cool down they shrink over the electrical Tape. No Glue Needed

How ever with my Drift Radials and Slicks, Zap Glue them to the rim, without the Glue there is too much Grip and they Pop off during a Slide and thats with a 23T motor!
