Default Help: Can you identify this car.

Hi
I just got this car and was told it is an HPI RS4 Pro from 1998-1999. When I compare it to the pictures I find on the HPI site, there are some significants differences, including the carbon chassis and A arms. I don't think it is an RS4 Pro...

Does anyone out there knows this car or can help me towards identifying it? It will be very usefull when I will need replacement parts.

It came with a Novak Duster II ESC, Kyosho 13T motor, Futaba radio (TX and RX) and Futaba servo. I assume these are all parts that were added to the Kit.

I already own 2 RS4 (one type 3 SS with 12R and one new 18ss). I only got the electric car last week-end and tested it for 15 minutes. Great car, very fast and nervous. I did not think electric could be that good with brush motor.

I plan on installing ABS drift tires and use it as a drift car.

Thanks.

Try looking at the a-arms again and see if it says the manufacturer's name/number or anywhere else on the chassis.
To me, it doesn't look like a HPI chassis.

I kind of new it was not an RS4. Did not look like the Pro or any of my 2 other RS4 type 3.
After a lot of reaserch on the net, I just found it: It is a 1998 Kyosho TF-2 spider. Looks like it will be hard to find parts for it. Quite different than the TF-5...

So does anyone knows about the Kyosho TF-2 or the similar TF-3 ? Are they good cars? Pros and cons?

Thanks for the input.
