Default Taking care of your drifter

Hello there, each time i drift, my drifter gets super dirty and full of pebbles and dirt. I am wondering if you guys ripp everything apart to clean them or just shake the pebbles out. All i do is shake it and wipe it, but theres still so much dirt in the crevices.

Take it apart and use an air compressor of some sort and blow all the dirt away.

Yeah an air compressor is great if you have one on hand. If your like myself and most of the gus I know and your a ghetto drifter (ie drift anywhere you can find a nice smooth surface to layout a track) then just carry a paint brush around in your tool case and use that to brush the whole chasis out. Thats all I do after each days drifting.

U might want to use Simple Green Cleaner, on packed dirt and hard surfaces,

And then use a paintbrush to clean away the rest!

Ummm I garther your talking about serviceable bearings then because the standard type that most people would use are sealed so putting oil on them isnt going to do anything at all other than make it easier for dirt to stick.

Blow it out with an air compressor and shake out the pebbles. Clean it as best you can and you'll be good.

I don't clean out my drifter as often as I should. Some of those UK guys that were former racers brought their good habits along with them to drifting. They clean out their drifters after every drift session. Before every big drift meet, they'll take everything apart, clean, then reassemble and realign. With me, I probably take everything apart and clean out the bearings only twice a year. Its not good to do it that way 'cause if you leave the gunk inside your bearings longer, they won't last as long. But for me, I'd rather dish out some money to get new bearings than always taking the rc apart and cleaning the bearings frequently. I don't have alot of time to assemble and reassemble my drifter frequently.
