Default cheap electric!

i don't know if it's old news or new news. i was looking around online for an electric touring car and found the TT-01 for only 90 bucks! it's on towerhobbies. i was only looking but since the price was soooo good i went ahead and bought it! now here are my questions, why is it so cheap? and is there any necessary upgrades?

Its cheap, because its a starter car for people new to RC cars. The only things you need to upgrade for a TT01 to drift are a Aluminum drive shaft, ball bearings, lock the diffs, and PVC, ABS, or other drift tires.

The tt-01 is a cheap car, but its a good drifter... i use a TT-01D with 17X2 turn motor, and 10000weight silicone in the diffs.... it's a drifting monster. Try using a 19t motor to start with. The stock 540 or 27t wasn't enough juice for me.

Depends on which packakge you got. You may have to get Radio equipment and a servo.
Do you have a link to the kit?

Tt-01 is a good chassi for the price... I've had three and loved all three. Don't lock both diffs, just the rear. The only negative thing I have to say about tt-01s is that they have a govenor... No matter how low turn of a motor you get, the car will go the same speed. (Even if you do brushless) the motor will wind out, but the car will stay at a certain speed. Its not a speed chassi, but it sure is hell is a great drifting chassi! Good luck w/ the driftin!!

its mostly for torque because they use this chassis for rallying. You will need a proven race chassis to get high speeds like a tc4, t2, xxx-s, mr4tc, sprint 2, and such.
