1) See if the manufacturer offers a locked diff.
2) If it accepts silicone oil fill it with 200,000 weight (this is the preferred option as it costs very little, and can be returned to a functioning state if you change your mind).
3) Fill it with any number of products which set solid, such as modelling putty, liquid plastic, FIMO, etc., maybe even plasticene.
What car is it? And why is this in the drifting forum? It's pretty tough to drift a 2wd RC, I should think...

you throw it at your dad and say "I SAID FOUR WHEEL DRIVE!! NOBODY DRIFTS WITH 2 WHEEL DRIVE IN RC! IT'S NEXT TO IM-FRIGGIN-POSSIBLE!!! WHAT TYPE OF FATHER ARE YOU? YOU WANNA SEE ME CRY!!!!???? THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT?! NOW TAKE THIS BACK AND GET IT RIGHT BEFORE I KICK YOU IN DA NUTZ!!! RESPEK MY AUTHOR-EH-TAY!!!" Then, when he gets you a useful 4wd chassis, figure out which one it is and get back to us. It's not hard to lock the rear diff, but it won't do you any good with RWD.

I don't know what R/C you have, but if it has a gear diff then you can easily lock it by using hot glue on the spider gears (the little gears inside the diff). Then if you don't like it you can just peel the hot glue off. I've done this on a Clod Buster and it held even with all the torque of those big wheels.

If he did that his Dad would probably get him a Monster truck..
Just tell him you wanna Specific Car EG, TT-01,Sprint 2, Yokomo..
Going by brands and chassis numbers loweres the risk of dissapointment..
