I am a newbie and am happy to bought a 2nd hand sprint 2 from a friend. The probs is when halfway thru pressing the throttle it stopped. So initially I assumed that the motor was hot and let it cool off.15mins later,I tried again with new fully charged bat and surprisingly the speed was not there. Is my motor damaged?it just has a normal cruising speed and I cant even drift with that speed.need ur xpertise in this matter.n Im frm Singapore

ESC if it is stock..
LRP or Nosram ESC's in the AI Series are known for messing up..
Replacing the ESC to an M-Troniks RV 15 would be my first Suggestion.
Watch the Belts on the Sprint 2.. they can be damaged Easily by small stones and twigs..

you dont really have to worry about rocks if you mod the diff cases. i run my car in the streets all the time and have no problems with rocks or pebbles

soak your belt i some wd40 before you use it, important when the car has been sitting around and dried out.. the wd40 will soften the belt for quicker and smoother movment...improving throttle response, reduced any slipping and better throttle control...

The Diff Mod will Help with Rocks and Stuff but one Good Hit up the rear and kiss your Diff Good bye..
I did the Diff mod, Went racing, got a Shunt up the rear and it Smashed the teeth of my Diff, So I Bought a New Diff cover and now I just put up with the cleaning of the little rocks.. I get hit and the Diffs stay fine..
I just Filed away a Little bit above where the belt goes around the Diff.. seemed to help a little bit.
I got 11 months from a rear belt with the Diff Cover Still intact..
Its Just a matter of regular inspection and sweeping the area where your gonna be drifting..

Mate the Sprint 2 is a far better car to drift with...
I have an E10 on order (Which has been on order for nearly 2 months)
The E10 has the Upper edge for car park drifting being a shaft drive but it wont be as adjustable as the Sprint 2 is..
The E10 is going to be HPI's New Entry level chassis aimed at trying to steal the thunder from the classic TT-01..
But since no one has driven an E10 and a TT-01 and done a comparo against it, it is hard to say what the E10 will be like..
The Sprint 2 How ever I can assure you is a Great chassis to drift.
There is no need to lock Diffs or anything, just add some Polypipe tyres and a Non AI ESC and it is good to go..
