Polypipe Tyres and a large smooth surface to drift on... thats all..
The TC4 is a great drifter. If you have the Stock 17T Reedy motor then it will drift just fine..
If Not, What motor do you have in it at the moment??

OK
The Teeth on the Pinion is Counted by how many Peaks it has ( a Pinion is corragated in shape,so we count the pointy bits)
The Spur is the Larger Gear. Its Measured in the same way.
So a 20T Pinion has 20 Teeth or 20 Pointy bits
This is all important as it is used for correct Gearing for certain motors..
I am not 100% Sure what the Stock Gearing is on a TC4 but I think it is a 23T pinion(small Gear) and a 72T (Larger Gear)
Which If I worked it out Correctly is a Gear ratio of 7.83.
So If we wanted to run a Faster motor, we would need to work out a Gear ratio so that motor didnt burn out..
Stock Gearing is cool for Drifting though..
If we Combined the 23T Pinion and 72T pinion with the Diff Ratio of the car which is 2.5 and Chose to run it on a set of Street radials and the 17T motor which revs to around 30.000rpm we can work out a Theoretical Top speed using a lovely website called GearChart.com and your TC4 Stock can do 45.75kph..
I hope I have made things a little bit clearer for you.. if not, let me know and I can refine the explanation..

Its not essential to lock the rear diff, it will give you great slides but can ruin the Track ability of the TC4 should you want to race.
For Drift, the Tamiya TZ and RZ motors are a good start
a Trinity Komodo 19T is also a motor to watch out for.
I have drifted with Both a Team Orion Method R 19x2T and a Team Orion Method R 15x2T and both are great..

Yeah..
If Drifting Stock, You can try drifting with Different Bodies..
I find that the HPI 200MM R-34 Skyline is a nice and Even drifting body where as the HPI Diablo tends to be a bit more tail happy.
Practice is the Key..
Using a high mah batt will ensure your drifting for longer and the car is getting the power it needs..
