How do I make my HPI Sprint 2, this is not the drift version. And every thing is stock, except for the wheel bolt.
Thanks, DAND

I think the only difference between the 2 is the tires and the body.... motor may be different not sure... but im sure some drift tires would do the trick

yeah get yourself some drift tires and depending on your motor a faster motor. 19t will work with most tires, a little hard with hpi radials which need a hot motor to breeak em loose, i can drift all day with my mamba max on them. SO yeah tires and maybe a motor

I Drift a Sprint 2..
Your going to need ABS/Polypipe Tyres, Smooth debris free surface to slide on.
If your using the Saturn 20T motor, thats cool but the LRP 17x2T or Nosram Tornado 17x2T are better...
Start the Car moving forwards Slowly, then in Quick Order Turn the Steering Squeeze the throttle and Counter steer as needed.
You may spin out at first, but dont worry we all did..

You will notice in the Vid, Although it looks like I am Doing Donuts, you will see at no point does the Nose Swing past the tail..
Object drifting, without the object..

I think the sprint 2 comes with a Nosram 18x2 motor. So its perfect for drifting. Just go to ur nearest hardware store and pick up some pipe. 2" in diameter. Those will start you out slow,or you can get the HPI radials type a tires. Those are the tires the sprint 2 drift comes with. Have fun!

go to any Homedepot in Colorado and get a 2-feet ABS schedule 40 pipe. with that type u can run at any surface. There is another 10-feet abs pipe which is harder that make u easier to go sideway, however it can't run on street or parking surface. I live in Westminster, hope to meet you soon DanD

Your Rims are 26mm Wide and are 52mm in Diametre
2inch pipe will need to be Warmed and Pressed over the top of the rims.. (Bare rims with no rubber on them)
When cutting the pipe, cut them at 28mm, this gives them a 2mm protection so the rims wont get scratched or Chipped..

as for the pipe fitting over the rims it depends which rims you get... tamiya rims in general are a tad smaller and u will need to wrap the outside with e-tape where as some of the hpi ones the fit will be more snug and u will need to do the heating and pressing technique.

depends on your body and the look you are going for. larger offset is gonna make your cars stance wider so u will need a wider body

dand. i have some drift rings you can have. they just slide over your stock tires. and im sure one of us can help you out thursday with the tires if you dont get it by then.
i have been using the same abs 40 tires for ever and there still good. but the drift rings will need to be changed prolly once a week. i bought 8 of them but decided not to use them so your welcome to um!
