xxx-s is the way to go with a brushless on it and some abs or pvc. Driving becomes smooth while the drive train is protected. i personally didnt think the 4tec was a fantastic drift car but with locked diffs strong servo and a good motor on it it handles much better.

i drift a 4tec also. i have my rear locked the front tight. i run a 87 spur and a 22 pinion, i am running a 6 cell with PVC tires it handles great but i wouldnt mind havening a MM on there that way i could gear it for more sped to help carry the car through the turn

you dont need a mamba to have enough power through a turn. Ive got a 19t komodo dragon, and on plastic type tires i can hang with more powerful brushless motors.
