you bought an x ray to drift with? they're pretty much the best you can buy for on road, buggies and truggies and you want to use it to drift with? a bit of a wast but i guess it's your money, you probably would have been better off buying one of the HPI drift cars because the motor is forward in them, the motor and batteries in the x ray is at the rear which will make it harder to get into a power slide.

Nice car -
Right now I am using the Tamiya drift tires and like them. Gives me more traction than PVC and good for drifting.

just slap drift tires on it. if the back doesnt come out enough tighten your rear diff. if it is too squirley tighten ur front and just play with your diffs til you find a nice balance that works for you.

The above advice is why alot of people get frustrated with rc drifting and leave. You need to soften up your suspension as well. I have Yokomo softs in the front and back. Sometimes with mediums in the rear. Get a spool for your chassis and put it in the rear. Tighten the front and make it snug.. 0 degrees camber all around, 3 degrees toe in rear 0-1 degree toe in front. Check out this guide: http://www.drccentral.com/us/rcdriftsetup.html
