Default motor types!??

could someone please clear up for me everything on motors from turns to performance?

*** is a turn and wrap and how do they effect the perfomace of the motor?

like i've heard that low turn motors are good for rpm (speed) but lack torque where as high turn motors lack speed but have torque.

what exactly is a turn refering to?

and i've also heard wraps, like double wrap single wrap. ex: 14t 2w, what does that mean!?

14 turn 2 wraps is 14t 2w. Correct, lower turn higher top speed, but less torque. Drifting is all about torque. The lowest I would go for drift would be the YOKOMO 15 turn M (modified) D-1. It is a specially modified motor strictly for drift. But 18t - 20t is most common/reasonable.

so why don't drifters just get a low turn with more wrap to get more speed ans torque? this is what's confusing. does more wrap mean more use of battery?
