Hello there folks....
I just bought a HPI Sprint Drift and I am about ready to smash it[:@]. Some one please talk me done off the ledge! I need help figuring out what is going on/wrong with the steering. It seems to begin to track incorrectly after hard driving. They do not seem to return to center after throwing it around. I have to constantly manually adjust it or play with the trim on the transmitter every few minutes. Is this normal or does it sound like I have a broken servo or maybe it needs adjusting or something. This is my first serious RC car so not sure what to expect. Thanks in advance for the help and advice.

From what I'm getting out of this is that your servo saver is loose. Just tighten the notch under the spring, found on the steering rack. I'm pretty sure that is why ur wheels are not centering back into the middle. Let me know what happens!

Also your steering rack may be screwed onto the car to tight. This makes the steering really stiff and the servo has trouble pulling the wheels back dead center.

Thanks guys!!!
It turns out it was a combination of the Servo saver and the center post. Both needed to be tightened. After that she seems to drive and slide tons better.
Only wreck twice this time out [sm=shades_smile.gif]

DAND: Tighten them properly..
I have raced,Drifted and Crashed my Sprint 2 and only real issue was what DAND Said, the Pinion or the motor mount dropping the motor mid race.. but a proper tightening with REAL tools.. fixes the job.. the Tools you get in the sprint 2 pack are just not really up to the job...
I love my sprint 2 and have only put it into retirement as I am hell Bent of getting my HPI E10 running properly... if you think the Sprint 2 is bad... the E10 will have you pulling your hair out and leave you Bald and still cranky...

I was the same way with any chassis. Secret is, after a run and before you start a session, inspect your equipment. Make sure it is all good. Check to see if the screws are still snug, use loctite where needed, make sure the gears are still meshing, and double check how tight your ball diffs are.
If you need advice from some really good HPI experts, come here: http://www.drccentral.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=21
Actually, KrayzBIGmac, is one of the regular HPI experts that hang out there. I guess he is helping guys here too.
