Default Which ESC to use?

Hey guys i'm new around here and just bought a tt-01 from ebay, comes pretty much with everything important that you need ie bearings/shaft tires... etc...

Everythings upgraded w/ a team orion motor but I hear that something might break if i keep usign the teu-101bk tamiya esc. What problems will I have if i continues to run it w/ this esc and what should I upgrade it?
here it is!

Thanks,
Justin

i have been running Team Orion 19T SV2 BB 19X2 on the same tamiya ESC, no problem whatsoever, I'd say use it and keep running till it burn out, I've been trying to kill mine(looking for excuses to get new ESC ) by running 3 battery packs (IB4200) non-stop for almost 1 1/2hr, did it couple times with no success, damn thing just keep going and going and going. Maybe me and my brother should take turn to run 4 to 5 battery packs non stop next time and see if we can cook it.

The Tamiya ESC's are very tough. I would say you should just wait and see if that one burns out. If it ever does than worry about getting a new one. Your new car looks cool BTW!

Yes there are very underrated indeed.
little tip though if your gonna run a motor under 15turns change your bullets connectors to deans or pole as the tam bullets will burn

honestly i don't even know which orion motor it is so upgrading to deans plug... i guess i'll find out sooner or later. I just got it yesterday and haven't really inspected it yet, i just plugged it in made sure it works. I got a pretty good deal on it in my opinion and happy w/ the purchase, just can't wait to get it out there and start playing! and I have to buy crystals for receiver and radio because it didn't come with it.
But thanks for the replies!

So you brought it without seeing it going round a track or anything? Ouch.

I'm picking up a car that I brought almost a week ago (finally!)... I commented on how it's ESC was struggling with the load or something (it was a stock 540) and turns out it was stuffed, now the seller had to replace it with a brand new ESC, all at the same price. I'm gonna try and cut down the price due to me having to wait over a week when I offered (and drove) a 2 hour drive just to find out that it doesn't go properly, and I'm only a beginner driver, so I got lost a few times, heading down the wrong roads twice without noticing, but at least I got to pass the netball girls two or three times

Nice car. If you change it, go for a Novak XRS.

See what you can Get Locally... Go for a ESC with a 15T limit with Reverse if you intend on drifting... I like the M-troniks RV15..

use the TEU-101 until it breaks, it was free after all right, when it does break, DO NOT GET AN MTRONIKS
