speed controller to motor

Default speed controller to motor

I have an mtronics speed controller. How do i connect it to the motor becaus emy motor does not have 2 wires soldered or attached to it so can i cut the little plastic connectors off the mtronics speed connecter and just twost the wires together or is this a bad idea?

hi M8 you can hard solder it to the motor only problem with that is when u change motors u will have to unsolder the motor again,twisting the wires wont really work they need to be soldered and then wrapped with plastic shrink coating to stop the wet interfering etc.

You could buy the mini bullet connectors and solder them to the esc and motor or like said hard wire the esc straight to the motor.

the mini bullet connecotrs are really cheap and most 540 size motors already have one on

May Void warranty on the ESC if the plugs are cut or modified... I would get some wire and Bullet connectors and wire the motor up that way and be safe... but it is up to you
