When you dont get a real drifting kit your car will move realy slow, Ive seen videos of people putting on pvc pipe on the tires and the tires spin too much. If you use some hard ruber tires with the sage d kit you will drift like the real thing, with speed and style. Look at the video that hpi has on their site...

that is what I have and it drifts like a CHAMP!!

Do you know where to get an upgraded rear exhaust system for the RS4 Nitro Drift RTR? I see several kits, but not sure which one is for this specific car. I don't want to order until I'm sure because I think most of the kits are for the SS, and that's not the same chassis.

Update:
I was just on the Hpi site and the Stage-D kit is under the Discontinued section. http://hpiracing.com/kitinfo/33432/ It seems that its the same chassis as on our RS4 Drift models. If you look at that set up, it shows our Drift chassis with a side mounted exhaust. If you set that up then you can use the tuned RS4 pipes. Good luck finding that header though.

After that just start practicing you drifting, here's a good tutorial with some videos.

After you've gotten a feel for how your car handles, you might want to start messing around with suspension settings to tweak it for your driving style. For my NTC3, I started stiffening up the front and softening the rear to get better front end grip while allowing the rear to come out easier under power. The trick with Nitro drifting is good throttle control and getting the drift started.
One thing I'd suggest is being careful about small stones etc. with that belt drive you have. Make sure the surface is clean, small stones will wreck havoc with your belt pulleys. I've even had problems with small stones in my tranny gears on my car. I'm much more sensitive to the surface quality now.

RE: Who is drifting with Nitro power?
I use an older RS4, belt driven 4WD. Upgraded the rear springs to be stiffer, and i can hold really good drifts all the way around turn-abouts near my house, over 100 feet straight drifting.
I use a Kyosho .12 motor, i want to get an OS .15 motor. The Kyosho motor runs really hot while drifting, and i punctured the rubber exhaust manifold and i ordered a hard pipe. The Cooling head is really small on the kyosho, and i had to cut a rear port in the body to allow more airflow.
If i had a video camera i would post videos, I am a really skilled drifter (not to toot my own horn, but i practice a ton).
Also I am using the T drift tires from HPI, but I think im gonna go with the A treaded drift tires for more traction, I spin my tires so much, and dont get enough grip because of the hard plastic.
