Hello everyone, new to RC, and RC Drifting. I just placed an order for an HPI RS4 3 Drift RTR package from Tower Hobbies. Just wanted to say hello to everyone, and look forward to getting into this this exciting activity. Any hints or tips for a noob would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for everyone's time.

Ha! I ordered her on Wednesday of last week, and got it today! That $40 for shipping was worth it. Sad part is, I didn't order a plug igniter. I got one though, now I have to wait till tomorrow to break her in. Here she is...

Also, I was reading the destructions that came with, and for break in, I have read different ways to do it. The way it says with the manual, is to run it on a stand, with the wheels spinning freely (do I give it throttle?), then with two tanks at half throttle, going in circles. The other way, it says to let it sit idling for six tanks, letting it cool completely between tanks. Which is the correct method? Thanks in advance for everyone's time.

There are many threads about break in, and as many methods as there are threads. Stick with the manual described method for now, it is still the most commonly used on RTR engines (idle off the ground for 2 tanks, letting it cool completely between, then two tanks running at low to medium throttle, then continue to take it easy until you've put a half gallon through it, then tune for performance and let her rip). When you have more experience you can try some of the 'riskier', but quicker methods, which are intended more for racing engines.

welcome to the drift sections post some pics up when u get your car and any help you need just post up k
