Default tightening rear diff? new and need help please

hi im new to the concept of drifting i have a shumacher sst with a 17turn vemon fire ball motor and will be getting some new tires any recomendations would be nice. but any way the rear diff is abit loose and i need to tighten it up has any body done it and could give me some tips and also is the SST a good drifter? and what ride hight should i have? also what do you think about a hot rod shell? http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-min...?cPath=438_874 this is what i had in mind
