Default Speed Passion and gearing

I have a Cyclone Black with a Speed Passion 10.5. Trying to find a good ratio to go with. I started off with a final drive ratio of 7.4. Then bumped to 8.2. But even at that ratio my car is feeling a little slower then I like. You guys think a fdr of 8.9 is too high? or what about 8.5?

Actually when i first put in the SP, I was at about 6.3 which was way too slow. Going up made it quicker. Though the 6.3 fdr with my Novak XBR 10.5 was perfect. I'm at 8.2 now and it's almost as fast. I got a 81t 48p spur and gonna drop in a 23t pinion tonight to move me up to about 8.6. Hopefully that will solve it.
