I don't know why people mod their tt-01's to drift when I drifted one box stock without no mods to differentials whats so ever. all i added was my own ABS drift tires and drifts like a charm.
so who has problems drifting a box stock tt-01.

for me the reason i modded my tt01 from box stock was to make it competitive. box stock it is ok, but with some mods u can take it from a mess around car to a serious competitor.
1) the open diffs- will tend to unload when getting lots of angle, especially with tires that have more bite than abs so locking the rear and tightening the front makes a difference
2) i geared the motor, the stock silver can geared at 8.35 doesnt have nearly enough rpm to prolong a drift, i geared mine at 6.56 or 6.28 (can't remember exactly) and it offers comparible performance to a 13.5 brushless motor.
3) aluminum shaft and ball bearings - the increased rpms can make the plastic shaft flex and smack against the chassis and thats no good
thats why i made the changes i did to my car, the aluminum motor mount and dogbones i did because i had the parts lol
