hi i was just wondering if i should get the TT-01 for drifting or the e 10 witch 1 is better for drifting ????

While i Own an e-10 and liek it alot (the touring version so i am not the best versed in the drift side of things) consensus seems to be the tt-01...

I'm pretty noob when it comes to rc drifting (previous experience was a micro rs4) but I gotta say I like my e10. It isnt as fancy as alot of other kits, and doesnt have near the bling availability of the tamiya's but it works and works well. Being able to switch the motor to the front and back is pretty cool too. The best part about drifting is that you dont "need" some uber expensive car. Sure some kits are better than others but drift tires on any TC will make it get sideways.

I bought a used E10 with no electronics cheap. Dropped in some old electronics laying around and hit the pavement. It gets sideways out in the street in front of my house and makes people walking by stop and turn their heads. Mission accomplished.

That being said I would love to own a Tamiya kit. I just enjoy building the Tamiya's (Blackfoot, Clodbuster etc etc) and think they are excellent quality kits.

which ever is easier for you to get spare parts for.
It was easier for me to get HPI parts locally (they tend to have a good US distributor to my LHS's) while Tamiya parts I'd have to get through evilBay or from online stores.

Both are very good affordable beginner cars.

Quoted for truth. Derigor got it right on the money. Go with the chassis that you can get parts locally.

But if you can get Tamiya and HPI parts locally, I would suggest the E10 over the TT01. The E10 was made specifically for drifting with that front mounted motor. I once had an E10 that was stock and it drifted alright. After I bougth the aluminum drive shaft, thats when it had a big boost in reaction time and braking. The E10 with stock electronics and an aluminum drive shaft, and you will be set. Plus, there are other aluminum parts for the E10 that are very nice. Also, HPI is coming out with more option parts for the E10 (adjustable camber links for example).

Get the TT-01D version m8 even if you have to save up more the hopup list on the TT is HUGE even down to a lightwieght chassis the e10 is a good kit but the hopups let it down

also you cant beat tamiya build quality

I would suggest the TT01D also. It's a great beginner car that you can build off of. Like stated before, hops-ups list for the TT01 is big. 3 Racing has a ton of hop-ups for the TT01. I've never driven an E10 but have heard the parts quality and finish is slightly sloppy and adjustability is limited.

I would do this...take the pro's and con's for each and come to a conclusion base on the info you gather and decide base upon your results. Either way you can't go wrong. Both HPI and Tamiya make good quality RC's. I was in the same boat as you a while ago and ended up not even getting what I origanally wanted. I ended up getting a Sprint 2 Flux...
