drift tyres are cheap and usually last a while... seriously rc drifting costs next to nothing if you keep it on a budget but it can go the other way and you could spend thousands if you wanted to... drift tyres last ages and you could just go buy a roll of Polly pipe and cut it up for tyres... even cheaper. hope it helps.

depends what type of tire and type of surface you drift on. ABS is the cheapest and last the longest but offers the least grip

If youre starting out, might as well go with ABS as they're cheap which is good to learn on. you just make them yourself, buy like 5 feet of ABS(not pvc, pvc has barely any grip at all) tubing from the hardware store and cut them to the width of tires. you'll end up with around a years worth of tires for like 5 bucks. After a month or two of learning and honing your skills, you can then try some actual drift tires and see how you like them. for the most part, actual drift tires are more grippy than ABS and so the speed will be faster. the speed with ABS is good, though if you don't round the edges, they might get caught up on an uneven surface.

nope these are almost like normal tires just with less grip, you will be going supper fast and need a powerful RC to break them lose....

Ihave recently got to my local plumbing store and purchased black plastic pvc piping. I have cut my own tires and they work great.
