I use the 3racing one and while it doesn't strobe it does do turn signals, also does brighter brake lights when actively braking and back up lights when in reverse.

I own 3 of the 3racing ones so I guess that tells you what I'd buy. I think the biggest advantage the HPI one has over the 3racing one is the light sensor, other than that they look pretty similar.

im trying to make a mini-me of my car and strobes are a want not a must but i would like it to look and seem identicle to my "real car" thats all just a project. i have seen the strobes on rc cars before but wasnt sure if i would have to buy a keychain and rip it apart for the strobe switch in it or if i could just buy a kit that saves time and hassle.

I know some company out there makes a strobe controller for RC, it's meant for RC police vehicles. but I can't see how you'd wire it so that you could use both the HPI unit and the strobe unit.
