Default Drift car search

I am in the market for a drift car. I really want brushless. I am not a beginner in the rc world. I have owned several models. I currently have a 1/5 scale and just want to own a bad ***** drift car. I have looked at the HPI Sprint Flux so far. I plan to run a 2s lipo pack. Would that Tamiya be a good car as well? I know HPI has some durable models. I really don't know much about Tamiya. Thanks

Any 1/10th touring car will drift, it just needs T-Drifts and possibly the rear diff locking up.

So i'd advise to look around to see what used or new touring car chassis's are available in your area.
Something like a HPI Pro3, Pro4, Mi4, HB Cyclone etc would be absolutely perfect and a hell of a lot better car than anything for the same price new.

Buying something cheaper like say the Tamiya TT-01 is really a false economy, because as you start to get better at driving/drifting the car really starts to show up it's cheap parts.
So you'll then end up spending money on hop up's that could just have been spent on a far better used car in the first place.

So just have a look around your local for sales ad's, RC forums, Ebay etc and see what used cars are up for sale.
If it's a decent touring car then it'll be great for drifting.

The tamiya has non adjustable suspension. Yeah I'd say it's not worthy. Thanks for your input I will most likely get that flux and some drift tires along with a lipo set up.

Sprint is a good choice, you may want to do the rear bulkhead mod to extend the life of your belts.

Add a set of TRF Shocks to it and that solves that problem..
