Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a factory kit TC3 and have been looking around at various engine options, most of the threads are very outdated, so I was hoping I could get some up to date help in finding an engine costing anything to about $200.
The engine maker that seems to be the best is the O.S range, but which one suits the TC3 best.
I'll be using the car primarily for advanced drifting on a proper track and the occasional touring race.
Is the TC3 the best option or should I be looking for another chassis. I would go for the HPI drift RS4, but it seems very entry level. I've seen what can be done with the HPI and I was hugely impressed, but can it handle the rigours of more advanced intensive long use drifting. I'm looking for reliability, which is why i'm looking at the factory kit, as it doesn't have as much plastic and is more sturdy. My budget for the car is +/- $330 (the price of the TC3 factory kit). Plus the engine of course and remote and all that.
I am also wondering whether the TC3 factory kit is not just a highly overly hyped up version of the TC3, is the TC3 not a solid enough base to slowly build upon, or is the factory kit something that you buy, and it keeps you impressed without need for hop ups.
Any help on both the engine and the car choice would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the essay, more to come after some postscome through.</p>

Can I ask why go Nitro ???
Most Comps (Depending on your area of course) are indoors and whilst Nitro drifting is comming along nicely, primarily it is a Electric dominated sport...
Whats your experience level? Can you constantly tune a Nitro motor for varying tempretures, tracks and conditions ??
Cause if you are a first time drifter, then Nitro may not be the way for you to go ..
