What is the best way to break in my brushed 15 turn Hpi Racing Firebolt Motor?

from what i learned on brushed motors. just hook up wires to the +/- and connect it to a 9v battery or your 6pack nihm battery and dump it into water as it spins and that should be a proper brake in.
