RE: drift fast?
well they are really good, not saying that you aren't but they are like pro drifters and they are probally using lower turn motors, what turn motor are you using?
|
RE: drift fast?
i can drift like those in the video usin a 19turn spec or a stock, just the only place i ever get to race dont allow drifting, but around an indoor track im as good as sg3, i talk 2 the guy who makes the sg1-2-3-4 videos on msn and he says im pretty darn good

RE: drift fast?
well i got a 19t tt-01 i love it iv been playing with it for about three years every day but drifting for like 2 months i love it....aand im also j/w what dose a ball diff do??
|
RE: drift fast?
ball diff is just better than a geared diff, its smoother and more efficient
|
RE: drift fast?
put a vid of you up cossie i can say im the best drifter here but it dusnt mean i am.actions speak louder than words mate.
|
RE: drift fast?
its all in the tires.... they pick up speed becuase of the tires they use more so then the motors.... if ur using PVC dont expect alot of speed.... if u can find ABS pipe its softer and still drifts and u can pick up some speed.... the simple trick is painters tape... or masking tape... put a good 8-10 layers on each tire... good as gold till it wears off lol.... try it out it does work
|
RE: drift fast?
I use the ABS also but I'm as of now I trying out the HPI Stage D tires their made out of a hard rubber compound, almost feels like soft plastic. Way more Speed and great drifts but not as dramatic as ABS. but if it drift from a high speed your look for, I would recommend them. I would give them a try at least once because their a little pricey compare to ABS. ABS for me is still the way to go for fun and cost.

RE: drift fast?
The SG Drifters use silvercan motors and PVC tires. It says so at the end of the 4th movie. As for the speed, it's most likely just how the action was videotaped.
And, oh yea. Cossie, not trying to knock you or anything, but how can Andrew say you're a pretty good drifter when he and the SG guys are from Singapore and you're from England? Just seems a little odd that you'd make a claim like that. Maybe it's cuz the RCU members aren't members of DRC Central and/or RC Dori? |
RE: drift fast?
we chat on msn and i send him some old videos of me drifting and he says im good

RE: drift fast?
Do you have vids on RC Dori though? I don't remember ever seeing any of your drifting action.
|
RE: drift fast?
ive never even being on rc dori lol whats the website
|
RE: drift fast?
I could've sworn I saw your handle posting in RC Dori. Hmm. Oh well.
|
RE: drift fast?
nah thats the first ive heard of it but before that the only drifting websites iver being signed up on is www.rcdrift.com (now closed[:@]) and www.rc-drift.com
|
RE: drift fast?
The thing with videos is that the action is decreased in size so seems fast, and don't forget you don't get the same sensation of speed when you're driving yourself as you only focus on a non moving object relative to what you're looking at (your car of course)
Hey cossie, nil desperandum dude (that's a motivational quote by the way) |
