Locking TT01 diff
1 Attachment(s)
here is another way to fully lock the diff. and u can remove it to make it normal when needed. there are 3 spider gears. what u do is put the gear between the other 2 for a locked diff. hope the pics help. i learned this trick building my TLT rock crawler! i dont know if this has been posted or not but here u go anyways. thanks

RE: Locking TT01 diff
hi im just a nod in drifting rc im just wondering should I locked the rear and the front differential ?? and im using a tto1 chassis :)

RE: Locking TT01 diff
does this trick allow any play, or is it just like using JBweld, wouldnt this put more stress on the drive train then say using playdo or something
|
RE: Locking TT01 diff
hmm. i see ur testing to see if i was right or not. lol. well i think this might allow a little of play it seems to be a non messy way and good way to lock ur diff. ill be trying this later tomorow

RE: Locking TT01 diff
i use blue tack or putty, in one of my tt-01's i even put eleastic bands in the diffs, gave it play but the more i drifted the tighter it was and helped maintaine the longer slides!!...;)

RE: Locking TT01 diff
the drivetrain will handle it. if my TLT rock crawler can survive with this setup then it will for the TT01. thanks

RE: Locking TT01 diff
there is more stress on the drivetrain climing over rocks than drifting. and ur spinning the tires most of the time anyways. thanks

Sticking to blu-tac... its easier and proven method in drifting..
Blu tac allows movement Essentially turning the diff into a limited slip which is desired any way.. |

RE: Locking TT01 diff
my locked diff setup works good. but u can try that blue tac way. ull experiance a limited slip effect like a real car which works well also.

Poster Putty?
Its the Gooey stuff you use to hang up posters, Comes in a Bluish grey color.. Playdough and silly puuty also works.. I have heard of a Full ghetto drifter using a pack of Pre-chewed bubble gum.. worked a Treat |

RE: Locking TT01 diff
Will do, only thing is I have to rip my TT-01 apart to show you.. may take a few Days
|
RE: Locking TT01 diff
hmm intresting, might try it. right now my gear diff is locked up via ducttape strips. you pack a whole bunch in there and it works like an limited slip

RE: Locking TT01 diff
