RE: Newbie needs help with TT-01:)
I would suggest is to modify the tires, get rid of those rubber tires way to much grip. So go to your hardware store, picking up some ABS Plastic Piping (bring a rim, for sizing)
(not PVC, because if you use PVC there is very little traction and you will just be messing up more than learning, and ABS has the perfect balance) Swap out those tires, and practice. Then build up from there. Don't try to learn on a "non beginner drift car" Please read this it will answer some of your questions! Quick question, I see the TT-01 Type E ball bearings as listed separately on RCmart... does anyone know if they will fit the standard TT-01 chassis?
|
RE: Newbie needs help with TT-01:)
yeah the e bearing set will fit u will just have a couple bearings left over because the e has bearings in the steering.

RE: Newbie needs help with TT-01:)
Goral: To get a TT-01 sliding..
I would Suggest a Tamiya RZ motor, a 15T Reversible ESC and do the Ball Bearing and alloy propshaft upgrade with a Change to some Hard Compound tyres.. I learned on PVC Tyres, then Swapped to ABS once I had the car control worked out.. Learning on the Slipperiest Compound possible may take longer but your car control will be more advanced then if you went straight for the Easiest compound... |
