I am new to the site and to RC trucks.

Iam looking to purchase an all around truck. I will not be racing it nor doing major jumps. Iam looking for something I can take to the park, trails, beach, parking lot, etc. to have fun with. I also am the type of person that tends to do alot of upgrading and I do not with to get caught up with that in this realm. Also, I'm looking for something with the minimal amount of maintaneance.

A local shop recommended the traxxas slash 4x4 ultimate.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

if you're just bashing around the stampede 4x4 for about the same money as the slash 4x4 will let you go more places

Ditto on the Stamped. One thing though... after you go to the beach... WASH IT. Otherwise, it WILL rust.
