Best 27t Stock Motor?
Just getting back into indoor carpet electrics racing with my Schumacher Axis 2. Currently have on it a Trinity P2k stock motor. Was wondering should I stick with this motor, or are any of the new stock ones much better?
Please don't suggest any lower turn motors, as I am only interested in racing in the stock class, I already have a selection of modified motors.
Thanks in advance

I think it depends on your track. The place that I race most has 2 long sweeper corners and we use mostly monster stock. If I run my p2k2 I get eaten up in the corners. But when on a tighter track the p2k2 is better. Ask they guys at the track you are going to race at and see what they are using.

You can't just ask that question broadly.....
There are different applications for different motors.
The monster stock(with brush and spring mods) is my #1 motor of choice in 12th scale on road racing, and 10th scale oval racing.
For touring car racing i gravitate towards the monster stock again, but also like the black canned fantoms if the track is really tight and has allot of fast short shoots.
For off road racing P2K2 ( copper ) are the way to go. They have less rpm and more torque then the Monster stock motors. I have tried running Monster stocks in a off road application and i usually cook the stack. Most ( I mean about 99% ) of the people at the tracks I race at are running the same.
There are some other motors that I hve seen perform well. Matrix v.10r's run strong in 12th if correct brush mods are made.
No mater what motor you get, make sure you take care of it.

I run Trinity monster stock pros exclusivly. Simply gear down a couple teeth on your pinion, and this motor provides tons of top end, and tons of low end punch. The best thing about the trinities, is that they come pre-caped on top of the endbell.
