Default Baja 5B (Electric) Good?

Hi,

I Have Seen The Baja 5B Its Good But Is There High Quality ESC & Motor That Goes 65+ MPH?

My Budget 700$.

Is It Worth It? (I Want Electric So I Get Away From The Sound And Smell)

Yes, the conversion is worth it. It costs less than fuel. However, you will need a good battery and charger. I am not good at finding the batteries, so somebody else needs to help you find a battery and charger. Hobbywing makes an ok quality setup. From what i can tell, people love their stuff. You need a conversion kit, i'm so sorry its not on HobbyPartz.

ESC http://www.hobbypartz.com/07e-ezrun-...FREr7Aod6Wo7bw
MOTOR http://www.hobbypartz.com/77p-lbp569...FQXonAodahOccg
KIT http://www.amazon.com/Brushless-Conv.../dp/B004MXGOQA

There is a more quality, but pricier setup. It's Castle's BL system

CASTLE BL SYSTEM http://www.stormerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...CSE010-0092-01

Good luck!

personally not a fan of CC's ESC's, but for 1/5th scale motors for the baja I think they are one of the only options.

dont know if the ezrun/hobbywing systems will do 65mph...40 sure, maybe 50.

I dont see the conversion of a gas one to electric as saving anything. By the time you would see a savings running electric over gas (figuring in the cost of the conversion) the chassis is gonna be ready for a full rebuild...a few times over, LOL.

But even tho electrics may not be much faster, their exceleration is better. And if you live somewhere that the noise of a gasser could be an issue, then brushless is the way to keep your beast.

old post just DanLC4 decided to necro a few very old posts to put ads for his imitation 5b's up, and even before that his posts from what I saw in his history were for him selling KM bajas and the like.

I think the xl2 might be pushing the limit to hit 65mph,45mph on a 16t pinion is possible on 8s

U might have more luck hitting 65mph with a MGM Compro on 10s or 12s but the ESC alone is around $700
