Cheap electric
hey. Brand new to the site...I live in katy and they just opened up a track here in katy and 3 in Stafford and I'm looking to start racing electric. I have a tmaxx3.3 but I just rec With that .
anyone got ideas on a good cheap electric. Wanting to spend less than $150.... Thanks

well, under that price your are looking at a duratax evader.
for a touch more, id suggest the ECX torment. I love that truck and its wicked tough.
Short course trucks are the most common right now for racing as well.
ask at the track to see what they race. they may have a buggy class as well.

Check out the tracks, see what most folks are running, especially in the beginner classes.
Plus, you'll very likely be able to pick up a decent used setup from another racer to get started.
If you're going to be racing regularly, you'll want something better than a $150 chinese knock-off truck.

Like others have said. Check the track and see what they run. Around here the SPEC slash class is still the largest class at every track I visit so you might want to see if they run SPEC or stock slash. It's an easy cheap way to get into racing.
