Default Just bought my first Castle Esc and loving it so far.

Got a mamba max pro and im running a 17.5 sensored motor on the esc. Perfect setup for racing.
This thing will run a 6 cell Lipo. Its a little big compared to the other brands but it's decent enough for racing.
I doubt that cooling fan will even kick on running a 2s with it. I got it to run a 2s battery.

Been investigating the programability (sp) of the thing via the USB interface yet?

They're good ESCs, I have one. If you don't have it already Isuggest that the Castle Link is a handy tool. It's a bit cumbersome unless you install it onto a laptop but, it gives you a greater degree of control over your programming options. I don't think going past 3S or maybe 4S is good practice despite Castle specifying that 6S is safe.

It's footprint is a little on the large side but It's the same size as a Sidewinder and maybe smaller than a VXL3S.

Uh.....HUH?  Sent what in?  I'm reaching here......do I understand correctly that you got some sort of coupon with the MMP for a free Castle Link dongle?  Dang!  Had to pay $25 for one, and that's after buying a SW Sv2 combo. (which only lasted 3 months)   Maybe the new "waterproof" ones they're supposed to be coming out with will be better.

BTW, I've got a Castle 4-pole 5600kv motor from that setup I have no use for anymore. Interested?

I've slowly switched over to castle equipment. You can't beat being able to change your settings like that. Awesome for racing. I have a SV1, SV2, and a Mamba max pro in my sct. Love'em!!

What is it......SV3 is waterproof...... Bout time...

Yep, proper little workhorses, I'd use one in everthing if I could.

Interestingly, I have absolutely no idea where I got my castle link from. I think I ordered and took delivery of it in my sleep.

OY! You lucky sucker!! And Iusually have such good karma......

I feel somewhat badly, not using USA-made electronics. But two bad experiences with Castle put me off. And once a company has pissed me off, Iavoid them like the plague. But Iwas impressed with the adjustability available with CastleLink, especially the throttle and braking curves.
