Default ESC Flooded…. HPI Apache C1 Flux

Hi everybody!! Im from Mexico and this is my first post on this forum…
I have some experience on nitro and electric RC off road cars, but honestly i just run for fun… not for race.

The problem that i have is that i have a HPI Apache C1 Flux, as maybe you know, one of the main problems of this car is the ESC and this is my problem… The last weekend i run on the beach, but my girlfriend take it and drive it directly to the sea… immediately it stop and no run anymore!!!

Apparently everything its ok but the ESC no… Now i want to buy a ESC waterproof, i have seen that maybe, maybe the Traxxas Velineon could fit for what i need but i don't if it will ok or its not capable to handle the 2 lips and the alphastar motor...

Could you help me? what ESC you recommend me?

Thanks!

PD.- The ESC that come from factory its: Flux Q-Base Brushless Castle

waterproof usually means water resistant

Saltwater = enemy of metal and electronics.

Honestly if you didn't already hose that sucker off thoroughly with fresh water(after you take whats left of the electronics out), and then hose EVERY single metal piece down with WD40 or some other penetrating oil as they will rust to high hell.
You will probably need to completely take it apart to get to all the bearings.

Your batteries will also more then likely need replacing if water got in them as they will corrode terribly.

My recommendation for driving near water get some cheap RC like a Tamiya DF-02, or even a Wheely king and keep as much as possible plastic.
