Losi Ten-SCTE with metal spur gear

Can anyone tell me if it is safe to use a 40t metal spur gear in a Losi Ten-SCTE with a Castle Mamba Max Pro SCT 2400 kv motor and esc combo?

I wouldn't use metal spurs. They will break because something with the type of metal on the pinion and on the spur.

Hey, thanks. I think I am going to send the metal spur gear back and buy some plastic.
